Nike’s campaign is based on the idea of Joga Bonito - Beautiful Play. They wish to defend football against the negative forces surrounding the professional sport and reconnect fans with their love of the beautiful game. They are championing a return to football played by a Team with Joy, Heart, Honour and Skill: the five codes which form the soul of football.

The series title, “In Search of the Beautiful Game”, took us right across the UK, capturing the opinion of the entire spectrum of the football landscape from Wayne Rooney, Joe Cole, Rio Fedinand, Cesc Fabregas, Gilberto Silva, Robbie Keane, Robbie Fowler and Ian Rush to George Northover the unpaid kitman at Rochdale Athletic to Barry Durrant, at 64 the oldest striker in the Norfolk & Suffolk veterans league to Emma Byrne the goalkeeper for Arsenal and Ireland to Frank Buckley at SARI (Sports Against Racism Ireland) in Dublin to Nick Kaptanis, coach at Street League - a homeless footballers league - to Andrew Morrison at Samba Street Soccer who trains aspiring 3 year old players beneath the Westway in London, with many more stops along the way.

The films were directed by our Creative Director Kieran Evans and produced by our producers Steve Butterworth and Frank Lampen. Off-line, on-line, grading and titling were all done in-house by the CC-Lab Studio.

Earlier this year we produced a live mutli-camera shoot of Nike’s campaign launch event and made 6 short action-based films which were shown on the SKY DAL, Nikefootball.com, the iTunes Music Store, in 500 Nike retail outlets and at Joga 3 football tournament events across the UK.
