CC-Lab back at Bestival

CC-Lab returned to Bestival with a commission from Channel 4 for two hour long documentaries, double the order of the previous year.

The first programme, sponsored by Jack Daniels, focused on the musical side of Bestival, with performances from Pet Shop Boys, Guillemots, Kid Carpet, Devendra Banhart, King Creosote and The Brakes.

The second programme featured the Scissor Sisters, with both performance and footage of the band out and about during the festival, including Jake Shears marrying himself in the Big Love Inflatable Church.

Five stage cameras and three documentary crews covered the festival across all three days.
Because of the tight turnaround, CC-Lab had two edit stations and three digitsing stations on site to begin work cutting the programme.

Post-production (including all graphics, grading and sponsorship sequences) was completed in house using four edit suites to complete the shows within five days of the festival ending.
