Kieran Evans
Director
Kieran Evans is an award winning Creative Director with experience across a wide range of disciplines, including brand experience, film direction, music videos, documentaries for broadcast, theatrical and DVD release, and using cutting edge digital production techniques to create innovative programming.
After graduating from Art School, Kieran started his career at Steven Spielberg’s animation company; Kieran has gone on to work with some of the world’s leading brands. He is responsible for the conception and ongoing Creative Direction of Heineken Thirst, and also two major advertising related campaigns for Heineken. Filmed in Los Angeles and Mexico City, each campaign took the filming of a Heineken commercial as its starting point, and created documentary and viral content for distribution to broadcast networks, on DVD and via the web. He has just directed an Apple iTunes advert and is currently in production directing 2 major televised branded music events for Jack Daniels and BT — Bestival and the Digital Music Awards. He also acts as a consultant for the implementation of brand guardianship across music related Open University projects.
He has also directed the MTV/VMA nominated pop promo for David Gray’s ‘Babylon’ as well as the acclaimed documentary ‘Up to a Point’. He has recently returned to promo making with videos for Nada Surf, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Echoboy and Jean Michel Jarre. His films have been screened at festivals around the world including the Edinburgh Film Festival, the Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Resfest and onedotzero. Kieran just completed a collaboration with Saint Etienne on the critically acclaimed feature length film ‘Finisterre’, and is currently developing a feature film for FilmFour with acclaimed author Niall Griffiths for an adaptation of his book ‘Kelly & Victor’.
