Orange RockCorps

 

“Give 4 Hours, Get 1 Ticket”

RockCorps was founded in the U.S. with the goal of encouraging community involvement among youth and young adults through music. After three successful years they were looking to expand into the UK and CC-Lab partnered with them as their Event and TV producers. This gave us the chance to do something that we have always wanted to do… put on a gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

In the run up to the event we produced six 15 minute documentaries for Channel4, T4 and 4Music to build the RockCorps message, awareness about the event and the volunteering required to get a ticket. These were presented by Alex Zane with a surprise visit from Busta Rhymes in the final episode.

At the same time we got on with the small task of producing and shooting a live event at the Albert Hall. On the night, the venue was packed by the 5,000 very excited volunteers who were treated to their just reward of a great night of music with huge sets from Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, John Legend, the Automatic, Feeder, Guillemots and Lethal Bizzle all hosted by Alex Zane. We produced a 60 minute show for Channel4 plus reversions for digital usages.

We are continuing our relationship with RockCorps, partnering with them for another gig in the Albert Hall and to roll out RockCorps across Europe, with events already planned next year in Paris and Madrid.
