The Isle of Wight 2010
Who needs Ibiza when the sun always shines on England’s very own “wight isle”… Once again we got a red hot welcome to our eighth year of shooting the Isle of Wight Festival.
We say it every year, but once again this year was our busiest yet with a whopping eleven hours of broadcast content produced on site across the weekend. Not only did we shoot the Main Stage and the Big Top but we shot an acoustic backstage tent too. All of the the main shows were broadcast on ITV2 with loads of it going out live too. In addition ITV1 broadcast a 60 minute highlights show.
In all 4 million viewers tuned in to the shows. Ferne Cotton, Rufus Hound and Dave Berry presented the shows and headliners this year were Jay-Z, Florence and the Machine, Strokes, Blondie, Pink and Paul McCarteney.
Complementing the multicamera performance footage we set out to capture the spirit of the festival with a combination of Ferne’s artist interviews, joyous and unique acoustic moments together with with humourous packages, presented by Rufus and Dave, shot around the festival site and out and about on the Island.
The material has been reversioned for international sales.
