Film & Television

CC-Lab produces programmes for broadcast, DVD, online and theatrical release. We cover everything from low budget productions shot on DV and post-produced in house right through to major live productions shot in High Definition.

We specialise in music and documentary programming, and recent productions have been seen in the UK on Channel 4, MTV and BBC1. We are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of advertiser funded programming, having produced projects for Nokia, Nike, O2, Jack Daniels and BT.

Recently we have begun producing branded content for online distribution, both through branded websites and through sites like YouTube and MySpace.

Our live music coverage has seen us film performances by some of the world’s biggest artists across a range of genres: in the past year we have filmed Foo Fighters, Coldplay, The Prodigy, Scissor Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, Paul Weller and Mel C.

We have produced TV coverage of the Nokia Isle of Wight Festival since 2004, setting new standards for festival coverage with an innovative approach that combined stunning live footage shot in high definition with documentary material capturing the atmosphere of the festival season’s traditional kick off event.

We worked with Jack Daniels and Sunday Best to create an equally innovative, but very different, approach for Bestival. In 2006 our coverage of Bestival doubled with two one hour specials broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK one week after the event. We are currently producing JD Set Lounge for Jack Daniels and Channel 4.

As well as our music programming we have partnered with Nike to create programmes for broadcast and online. In 2005 we made a one hour documentary for broadcast across Europe by MTV as part of Nikewomen’s Take Sport, Add Music campaign. More recently we have created short films for online use as part of the Joga Bonito campaign in the run up to the World Cup, and are currently in production on more content for Nikefootball.com.

Our feature length documentary work has included two films made with the band St Etienne. Finisterre is a film about London which has played at festivals around the world and been released on DVD. The recent film What Have You Done Today Mervyn Day? looked at London’s Lower Lea Valley, site of the 2012 Olympics. It sold out a recent run at the Barbican cinema.

Other work in 2006 includes the BT Digital Music Awards for Channel 4, O2 Undiscovered for Channel 4 and a series of short films for Smirnoff & The Electric Cabaret for online distribution.
